1. Design Reflection: What inspired your choice of typography and color palette for your advertisements? For my first color palette for my Squishmallows advertisement, I originally didn't know what I wanted to do, Until I looked at the tags of ones I saw online, I found a color a bit similar and painted it as the background. For my second one, The hello kitty 50th anniversary notebook, I originally had a lavender purple color but my other one got deleted so I changed it to a ombre type of effect.
How do these design elements enhance the message and appeal of your product?
I think these elements enhance the design because all of the other features that I kinda added make it smoother and nicer looking.
2. Photography Analysis: How did your original product photographs influence the overall look and feel of your
advertisements? The overall look for the Squishmallows one I am really proud of because it kind of looks like a flat image, For my hello kitty one the same but it was kind of dirty so I wish I had more time to touch it up but overall I am pretty content with them.
What challenges did you face during the photography process, and how did you overcome them?
During the photography process I had to consistently change the ISO and the lighting overall. I fixed it by adjusting and taking photos over and over till I got ones that I was content with.
3. Product and Audience Insight: Why did you choose this specific product to advertise? I chose these products because I have a small collections of Squishmallows and I happened to have recieved that one the day of this project. The hello kitty notebook was sort of last minute, Originally I was going to do hello kitty pens but the notebook looked way better overall.
How do your design choices cater to the target audience for this product?
My design caters to most people, If you like squishmallows and notebooks i hope that you'd feel inticed to buy one after looking at my advertisement because it displays them and lets you know where you can get it for example, The Squishmallow you can find at target, and the notebook is limited edition and can be found at "STUDIO OH!"
4. Personal Growth and Feedback: What part of this project are you most proud of, and why? If you could go back and make changes to your advertisements, what would you improve or do differently?
I think I could have managed my time a little better, I didnt expect my project to get deleted so I am not really too upset with how it looks though it is a little messier than I desired as for the second one I am very proud of my first one and I think if my first project for the second one wasnt deleted it would have came out beautifully.
